San Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer Parish Complex
San Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer Parish Complex
Cabbsa has begun construction of the new San Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer Parish Complex in Aravaca, a community center designed to house a place of worship and an area for social, cultural, and educational services linked to pastoral activity. The complex is located on a plot of more than 3,000 m2 in the Moncloa-Aravaca district of Madrid and includes the main building, the surrounding landscaping, and parking areas. The project will be carried out in several phases.
The building is organized into three main volumes: the entrance, the church, and a chapel, unified under a large gabled roof. The design combines modern construction systems with traditional materials and symbolic elements such as pointed arches and ribbed vaults adapted to contemporary building requirements.
The complex’s functional program includes a main church with a capacity of 477 people, an auxiliary chapel, and parish offices, as well as an area for social, cultural, and educational activities located in the basement and on the southeast facade. Cabbsa’s execution of the project is geared towards guaranteeing the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability, addressing both the project’s technical specifications and the needs of the parish community.
This new complex reaffirms the company’s commitment to constructing unique facilities of high technical complexity and architectural value. Cabbsa will dedicate itself to completing this project with great enthusiasm, leveraging its 99 years of experience executing unique projects, particularly religious ones, having completed such emblematic works in Madrid as the Cathedral of Our Lady of Almudena and the Church of Santa María de Caná in Pozuelo.
